About Us

Strobe Approach Lighting Technology (SAL Technology) is a privately owned and operated manufacturing company based in New Hampshire.  Founded in the fall of 2003 and backed by over 75 years of combined, real-world experience in airfield lighting, our singular mission is to provide world-class products for use as runway approach lights at airports from large to small, including private, commercial, and military installations.

Today, we offer a full suite of approach lighting solutions including L-849 Runway End Identification Light (REIL) systems and L-859 Omni-Directional Approach Lighting Systems (ODALS).  In addition, our products meet requirements for MALSR, SSALR, and ALSF-I/II applications.  We also offer spare parts for many competing airport approach lighting products.

Our customers include government and defense agencies, airport managers, distributors and manufacturers of airport lighting equipment, and contractors located across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Australia.  Our customers choose our products because of our commitment to making our products:

  • Cost-effective to acquire
  • Easy to install for both new deployments and replacement of outdated or end-of-life equipment
  • Easy and inexpensive to maintain

We pride ourselves not only on the advanced designs and quality of our products, but also on the accessibility of support.  Our customers may speak directly with the designers of the equipment to help with any approach lighting application or with any special strobe lighting project.

Uni-directional Approach Light Our uni-directional lighting products are available in either voltage-powered or constant current-driven models.  They can be co-mounted (as shown) or separate-mounted to offer you the widest range of flexibility in your deployment.

Omni-Directional Approach Light Our omni-directional lighting products are also available in either voltage-powered or constant current-driven models.  They can be co-mounted (as shown) or separate-mounted to offer you the widest range of flexibility in your deployment.

Great care has been taken to design our equipment to be as robust as possible for trouble-free operation and long life.  We have also worked to make our products easy to maintain.  The result is a lower cost of ownership, which is critical in today's economy.
